Hopefully this is going to be the last surprise I get with building the car. I was so excited to have the quaife in and to have the car out today :(

birthday=ruined.

He was ecstatic about the install because he didn't have to shim it. The backlash was perfect on the first try.

That's good to hear :) I helped with my install as well, it was a pita, but we had good fun.

Now tell me, how good is the quaife compared to the factory LSD? At least gimme something to look forward to lol.

Sorry, don't know yet.
Might be a few weeks until I do.
My Z is currently not "legal" to drive at the moment.
It is kind of missing a few things.

Here's another Canadian revelation - we don't have a BASE model up here. They're all Touring models.

Really? No cloth in all of Canadia?

So in reality you just paid more money for a touring? I'd rather have the option to buy a base. Too bad cause a lot can be done to the car with an extra 3k! Oh Canadia! :p

Minivans have cloth interiors. You can get one for under $3k

Not sure what year you are talking about but my 2016 base came with open diff and I ordered it. Got a used 2018 vlsd from wrecked 2018 and switched them out for $625 CAD. Sold my original open diff for $450 CAD. $175 for vlsd makes sense and the car has much more traction. The vlsd fit perfectly and was easy to install. Torquing every bolt to factory spec took the longest amount of time.
