HELP: Car can't turn on

I have a 2009 370z and out of the sudden it won't turn on

The steering is fine, but the brake is completely locked. I tried putting in the fob but no luck either. The car is completely shut off - all I see is some lights flickering, especially the brake light.

In short, these are symptoms:
-I can't lock or unlock my car - except when I use the key in fob
-Brake is locked
-Steering wheel is not locked
-Few lights are on and won't shut off
-I can't turn on the headlights
-Nothing else is responding

EDIT: I went out and try again and the ignition said LOCK. I inserted the fob in the slot again and it asked me to press brake and press the ignition. When did and there's stuttering sound as if the car trying to turn on. Thus, I'm thinking that my battery is probably dead. However, I didn't leave anything on to deplete the car's battery.

Sounds like you maybe right and that the battery might have failed.

If your able to jump it and it runs fine? A battery replacement maybe needed.

You can have it checked out at a local auto parts to verify it is indeed the battery.

Average battery life span is 4 to 6 years. You owning a 2009 this is probably the one that came from the factory and more than likely your issue. Pull it out and load test it before you buy another one.

Yeah... I was lucky to get like 4, maybe a tad more. It would still crank, but it wasn't as quick as I liked

So it wasn't a one pump dumper. :icon17:

Lol, maybe, but no one has brought it up in this thread yet... The guy in the last thread never contacted me. OP of this thread hasn't contacted me yet either, but a shitload of random people have! Lol

I try to help when I can, and I'm much better with complaints to corporate, but I think I've been around long enough to help with this issue.

Well, now that I wrote this it probably won't start next time.

I just had this same problem today. Oil temp was under 220 and brakes were locked. Basically all the same symptoms as you, but the car started back up after 5 minutes and me pushing it to the shoulder. Was it your battery? I'm about to go get mine checked.
