Rattle in Reverse and Drive Gear

Whenever I put my Z in Drive or Reverse, I hear this annoying rattle coming from what sounds like the rear-bottom of my car. Before trying to isolate the issue, I thought it sounded like an exhaust or cat making the sound, though, now that I know it's only when the car is in drive or reverse, I'm thinking it might be a problem with the transmission.

The car is a 2009 with 28k miles. I'm pretty sure it's still under the powertrain warranty, but I was wondering if anyone on here had any ideas as to what it could be. Any ideas?

My first guess is that it's part of the exhaust coming in contact with the frame. Have someone operate the shifter while you listen under the car.

Thanks man, I'll give that a shot.

It looks like the rattle happens randomly in any gear, not just reverse and drive.

Does it happen on smooth roads too? Or do you only notice it when the car bounces a little?

You're right. I pressed my foot lightly against one of the exhaust tips and the rattle stops. I'll try to make whatever adjustments I can. If that doesn't work it's either off to the dealer or I'll find something to put between the contact area. Thanks!
