the cats actually have two different cells in each one though don't know how technical you need to get, most of your questions can be answered by opening your hood and looking at the us emissions label. there is no egr valve, no air pump, and no air suction valve unless that is some way to rename the evaporative emmisions system. I still say you may have an issue with the ecu tune and the different gas available there, i'm sure it will run but it may cause problems if they do a sniffer on it.

Thanks again for all the assistance. If anyone is interested, I will let you folks know how it plays out. I am going through emissions next Thurs/Fri.

As a closing to this thread. My imported 370z registration is complete, and I finally have my Japanese plates.

For those who are considering importing:

Stock 2010 370z Sport/Touring

Emissions: Pass first try
Noise Emissions: Pass first try

Biggest headache = application process.

Compared to high octane gas in Hawaii, my car is running MUCH better on high octane in Japan, and I'm getting better gas mileage as well (maybe she's just glad to be home)!

Thanks again for all the advice in this thread!
