Thanks for the update. What's the estimated shipping date?

Hi Nick, Quality Control is highly regulated. You may be familiar with accreditation agencies like ISO.

I want to know what the QC process is and who does it? Does a guy just walk through the shop and give things a nod or are these components being sent out for an actual review, does their QC control person have recognized credentials.

Not drunk at all. Nick for all you know these pulleys were outsourced to a manufacturer in India or or another 3rd world country where they are being made for penny's on the dollar with substandard manufacturing process's and materials. And then you are going to put this part on your engine and spin it to 7500rpm.....

I'm not saying this is the case. I'd just like some insight into the QC process. I know you and I work in totally different fields by your response, but when I see someone designing something I'd like to know their steps especially when there is a delay in product delivery.

I'm guessing you didnt read a single page of this thread because it was mentioned a number of times that they are made in house. The quality of their product has been praised a number of times by members which is good enough for me. I dont need to know proprietary information about how they test their products.

When you bought your Z did you ask the sales rep what quality control measures they went through during production of your car???

Oh and if you are spinning your rpm's to 7500 u need to learn how to drive your car and not blame a pulley when your engine blows up.

Since you seem to know me so well by "my responses" what field is it you think i'm in?

( Click to show/hide )
I'm a manager at a software company responsible for development and quality assurance....kinda ironic huh?!?!

So you're telling me you know the QC process for every single thing you buy? Google nst pulley reviews and see what comes up. If you were really THAT concerned with quality and all the other info you requested maybe you should have found it out BEFORE you joined the group buy...?

Zdayz 2014!!

Thanks for the positive feedback and responses guys. Much appreciated.

We do our own QC testing on each batch of pulleys that roll off the machines. I've posted regarding this process in this thread in the past, and many of you have already read this info. Material is tested before going on machines, pieces are tested after the CNC process, then tested again after anodizing.

I hope to have another update for you guys by Monday or Tuesday.

Thank you all!

Hopefully we can get a new estimated ship date with the next update.

AK370Z 05-17-2014 12:36 AM

I would like to take this time and update everyone about the status. I always like to let my members know what's going on in the background.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have initially closed to thread due to NST conducting business, starting group buys, selling products (for months) without paying vendor fees. I was told by their representative that their paypal stopped working, so they stopped paying. Well to me that doesn't sound acceptable. If paypal stopped working, they should have send me a pm and find out other ways to pay. I have put everything aside (for the sake of my members) and told them, "lets focus on what we can do to restore service, get my members product delivered or refund given." I asked them to pay only a "small" fraction of the payment they have missed and go ahead start a fresh sponsorship by paying/starting a new subscription. Does that sound fair? I think so. That pm was sent out 2 weeks ago on 4.29.14 I believe. I have yet to hear from them. I sent out a pm 2 days ago forwarding the pm from 4.29.14 asking for a reply, however I have yet to hear from them.

NST, if you're seeing this, it's up to you what you want to do at this point. I have made everything clear for you. You need to deliver product to my members or give them refund. Once that's done, you can pick one of the two options:

a. go ahead with my proposed for small partial payment for missed payments and start a fresh sponsorship or

b. You can end sponsorship here at THE370Z.

However, regardless of a. or b. you chose, you must satisfy each and every order placed by my members.

Thanks. I'll be waiting for your private pm or reply here.

AK

PS: I have re-opened this thread as some of the members requested me to do so. Please do not think this is an opportunity to bash them or start causing drama. We still want a resolution out of this where everyone either gets their item or refund. I still reserve the right to close this thread.

I don't feel like reading through 88 pages. I don't understand why non stop tuning can't just post dyno results for the 370z. Also, even though the 350 and 370 share the same pulley's they are two different engines, so saying that "The gains with the 370Z should be very similar, if not better." is hard to believe when you don't have any number to back that statement . That is just like telling an EVO guy, the evo and genesis have the same 4b11 block so with the same bolt on's you should see similar or even better gains.

DanohKeo 05-17-2014 02:01 PM

I've already gone through my bank and sent in a dispute for non-receipt of product and have already been refunded. I'm not one to spread rumors but I've heard of what's been going on with NST and from the sounds of things, it would be best if everyone requested their refunds through their financial institutions.

You should at least read the one message above yours. At this point I don't think anyone cares about the dyno numbers.

Thank you AK for doing what you did. I still will leave my general call out of NST as a fraud company and spam on the general discussion so no one ever deals with them again. Their name is forever scared. If they feel the need to ever enter this again and start up stuff, I think that would be reason enough to ban them permanently. I want people to be able to google their company, and Like the Scion club page, see that NST is nothing but liars and cheats. I was shocked, I guess I was blind to them being that way because they were paid sponsors on this page. Sucks.

axmea? 05-18-2014 01:38 AM

There is a story behind this and that's what I am curious about. Until this last GB, they were OK. I got mine and the saw the lower pricing a few months later for this GB and noticed the price was lower than on my GB (which was already their lowest offering at that time). As for those on this recent list and have money put in for this, I hope NST does what is right.
