Did anyone post any independent dynos? I've gone through a whole lot of the pages in this thread and haven't seen any. Also, I think I read someone mention improved mpg, anyone have any comments on this? I am losing some MPG with my 4.08 gears and thought the pulleys might be a good way to get some of that back. Any small hp bump would be welcome, but i doubt I would feel it. Will the engine really be much more responsive if I already have the 4.08 gears?

I could be wrong but I don't think the people here that are actually modding our Z's are to concerned with fuel economy. If MPG's are a true concern for you, I'd recommend stop modding the Z for a short period and put that money towards a cheap DD.

I'm not thatconcerned, but if it helps, that's nice and good to know

There have been independent dynos on several NST kits. They always show an increase in HP and TQ, and improved throttle response. The dyno charts we post are very accurate and legitimate.

You will notice better response and better MPG, with or without your 4.08 gears.

Best of luck!

Here's a little update for the GB members!

Alternator pulleys are off the machines, crank pulleys are in the works. All pulleys will go through the anodizing process after this, and should be ready within the next couple weeks.

This is my understanding so I hope it helps.

1. Pulleys are not intended to MAKE power but rather free up EXISTING power loss
2. Regardless of 4.08 gears, pulleys free up power through the entire band, not just low end.

All - Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

Nope, you're spot on. You may feel more of a difference on the low end, since you've got to get the pullies spinning. At higher rpm you may not feel as much of a difference since the pulley is already spinning more quickly. Pullies aren't really as much of a "HP mod" as they are a "throttle response" mod.
