http://www.the370z.com/track-autocro...ack-times.html you have a ways to go. But hey, maybe you ARE the best drag racer on the 370Z

I'm not interested in going for the record

Shifted into 5th gear before the finish line, so another benefit of raising shifting point would be NOT getting into 5th gear. Another e/t gain :) |
Thanks for the info
I hope you're right :)

Changing the gearing will obviously be best bang for the buck for drag racing. Maybe equal with running slicks. So I cannot compare those times taking into account the other times. It's just not apples to apples |
what times are you talking about???

This is why I stopped helping n00bs... it's contagious.

Rev limit can be raised with Uprev. You can then manually shift via paddles or stick up to that RPM without fuel cut or automatic upshift. I'm not 100% certain that raising the rev limit also raises the shift points at WOT... you really shouldn't raise it higher than 7800; I believe OEM is 7500.
If you mean changing the shift schedule in "D", unfortunately, I don't think there's a way with Uprev -- possibly ECUtek can do it. However, you CAN raise the line pressure with Uprev, meaning faster and firmer shifts. |
I appreciate all help given & my snide remarks are NOT for real

I admit not knowing much about today's cars & how they work. It's my age :) I don't even want to change my own oil. I do know a bit about drag racing & having mods work together, as apposed to just "the more the better". Before the recent drag racing of my Z's, I drag raced a bit a long, long time ago with a 1966 Pontiac G.T.O. Long, long ago:) That's when I learned how to shift & about balance/working together when it comes to mods. More recently with my 08 Z. I didn't just buy slicks for that car & do well, it took me 8 months to learn how to really use them :) So, I'm a nice guy but tend to post "snappy" responses. Probably due to my age(little patience) & trying to have some fun. Nice, nice all the time is BORING ;) |
I can appreciate that response.
Good luck OP. |
Raising the shift points is probably possible by tweaking the TCM. It would appear that no one responding to this thread knows much about tweaking TCMs (the hi-po guys usually go with a manual). I suggest finding some hi-po auto transmission shops/sites and asking there. Let us know what you find out.

Maybe a call to GTM, since they build upgraded autos?

Your posts hurt my head, op.
