studying the design of the MAF sensor, it looks prone to heat interference.
The larger flat sides have an aluminium cover sheet!

And i do agree, 6 degrees is not much but 6 deg in the upper temp range could be painful

I doubt it. Nissan probably has it set so the iat doesnt have that large of an effect due to the designed inaccuracy of the sensor
