most of the time they do it out of sheer curiosity and boredom. Maybe it was his hobby, maybe he sued and it was a side job for him.

That sucks, the engineering aspect is sound, that's why I thought it would be worth the try.

Some intakes have air-straightener vanes just before the MAF, but ours doesn't require one (nor is it calibrated for one) and the Tornado is not designed to to do that. It's a scam.
