What bolt is this? I'm not an expert but I would try drilling
|
They sell tools like bolt extractors, which drill into a bolt thread, and then lock themselves into place. Where is the bolt?
|
Go to your local hardware store to pick up a screw/bolt extractor kit.

If the bolt has broken flush to the surface then you will have to drill down the centre and use a stud removal tool (it looks a bit like an over sized drill bit with a reverse spiral on it to get it out.
If this fails then you wil have to gradually drill out the old bolt using slightly bigger drill bits each time until the old bolt collapses and falls out, then run a blind tap down the hole to clean the thread out. Good luck! There is also vids on youtube to get an idea of how this works. |
They are the bolts or screws that hold the engine cover in place. I used wd40 for the rest they came off. I did not use wd40 on the first one not knowing these would be that tightly screwed in.
