Sprint Booster

I was talking to a friend of mine who owns a 2008 Caliber SRT4. We discussed this product called Sprint Booster which is said to greatly improve throttle response on cars with electronic throttle control.

I am thinking about purchasing one of these, but before I do, I would like some feedback from others who either have this system installed currently, or anyone who knows it well. Any issues or problems this has caused?

I tried searching for this and came across a thread from 2011 which was closed. Would like some current feedback.

For the price you are better off with uprev, especially considering you (are going to) have full breather mods. Plus you dont need to have it plugged in all the time.

Its been used in the Porsche community for some time as a low cost option to the real solution (which is the Sports mode software, which is a re-map). I'd personally prefer a remap then something that is a bit of trickery and is not necessarily smooth.

I have the sprint booster as well as the uprev tune in my vehicle and it works get together. The race mode on the sprint booster incorporates itself with the tune and they work together very nicely. I love my tune and the sprint booster as well.

I prefer to leave the DBW harness the same to ensure that any failsafes in place will remain active. Not saying this will cause an electronic throttle failure, but its like others have said.... get the car tuned with uprev. If you want quicker rev consider a lightweight flywheel when you upgrade or replace your clutch. Overall not a fan of aftermarket DBW throttle controllers.
