What type of Coolant?

The coolant in the car is blue, I need to add some. Should I go to Nissan to get some? All the coolant I have every used is green or orange.

Thanks in advance,

Mitch

Yes, go to Nissan and get the blue stuff.

Ive used green for almost a year and have had no issue brother. you'll be fine. Thats texas summer heat by the way. Many many many 3 hour drives during set heat. I doubt, unless you ride the heck out of it and use a real brand name coolant, that you will have any issues.

I have new rad hoses to install and have green fluid in my car now. Is draining the rad and refilling with the new blue fluid all I need to do? Or should I stick with the green stuff?

I could be wrong, but I think Nissan recommends a silicate-free coolant. Green coolant his high levels of silicates. I just stick with the OEM blue long life coolants. Its expensive though!

Same price when I bought two gallons of it last year.

how often should we be replacing the coolant? and is this an easy DIY?

ie, there isnt anything special to do as far as getting air trapped in the system.
