Short shift kit and RevMatch?

So I haven't been driving my Z long, but it didn't take long to notice that Rev match pretty much acts on the position of the shifter, regardless if it's in gear or not. So When I'm going 55 mph, pull out of 5th gear, and (While in neutral) I wiggle the shifter from side to side, when I hit the left side of the shifter, it auto rev matches as if I am GOING to shift into 2nd or 1st.

Does a shift shifter mess with RevMatch at all? I would like to get a nice short shift kit, but don't want to throw off RevMatch in the process...??

Dang, nobody has a short shift kit in their car?

That's usually my first issue with a car, is how sloppy the shifter feels. I do have to admit, the Z shifter feels nice though, so maybe I won't do this upgrade.

No, not all all. I am running the TWM short shifter with no issue along with a PWJ shift knob

This has already been discussed A LOT. No it does not affect SRM. If you are moving the shifter into a position where you can only engage 1st or 2nd, it's going to revmatch to 2nd. Same thing happens when on a dyno, do a 4th or 5th gear pull and throw it in neutral with the clutch in, it will rev match.

Yea, I did some searching, but I didn't search for "SRM" because I didn't know to abbreviate it. :p
