Coolant Overflow Cap Redesign?

The 2011+ Z's use a "pressure style cap" on the coolant reservoir similar to the one on the radiator.

Does this new style cap fit on the older style (2009-2010) reservior bottle?
The black screw on cap that I have on my '09 looks like it came from a vitamin bottle :eekdance:

Any pictures of it?

The newer reservoirs are pressurized, unlike the older ones. Hence the difference in caps and reservoir construction.

Why did they go to a pressurized design?

I was wondering the same thing.
Environmental (antifreeze is some pretty nasty stuff)?

Sounds like my old cap style might be prone to leaking or bursting...

The 1st one us made by a person here I believe and the 2nd one is made by ARC its a catch can and a reservoir tank all in one. They are both the same price. I just got the ARC and its very nice! Comes with everything u see in that pic also.

Now someone make a nice power steering reservoir please!!
