1. Will a tune fix the P2A00 code?
2. For the short term, should I be concerned that the P2A00 is the cause of the light (i.e: any engine damage concern due to the A/F mixture being beyond the cars allowable limits)?
3. If a tune is a recommendation, can any reputable shop do it? I don't have an UPREV tuner in area which is one I have seen folks refer to.
thanks in advance...[/QUOTE]

The tune itself will not fix the code, but it can be set to automatically clear.

I wouldn't be concerned with the A/F ratio. If you had headers in addition to the exhaust and intake, you'd be getting into "I better get a tune soon" territory.

I would call around to different shops to see if they have any experience with the Z. You can also ask around in your regional forum.

Thanks - seems weird that I only get the code on Bank 1 (passenger side) and not driver's side. Just makes me concerned that there is something wrong, but if there is, it is definitely not obvious (car runs great). Suppose I could check the exhaust manifold to cat. joint, just not an easy one to get to. Will also check with some local performance shops / and the regional forum.

Thanks man for fixing my formatting.

With you getting it on one side and not the other, to me, that really speaks of an exhaust leak at one cat that was small but passable until you put in the g3's. Regardless, best of luck.

Roy'sz - have you tried swapping the MAF's? If you are getting the P2A00 like me, then it is indicating an issue with the passenger side intake or exhaust....so to eliminate the MAF from a concern, just swap them and see if the code changes to the driver side, which i think would be a P2A03, I think? Just a thought to help troubleshoot your issue..

Brought this back from the dead for update. When I did my baseline dyno run at stillen the technician told me the car was leaned out pretty far. I was getting bad misfire's before tuning the car. I have ran the car almost a thousand miles and haven't gotten any of the codes due to the car being tuned and those codes being blocked.

Cheshire the tune WILL fix the lean/rich code because you are editing the afr tables that the car had prior to the tune, therefore being that the car is leaned out...adding fuel will get rid of the lean error code.

Markar, yes I did try swapping them and still the same problems as prior to tune. Also due to it being intermittent it could be leaning or riching out due to tempature and altitude adjustments. As you gain elevation the car will have less oxygen so it could lean out if you are doing some mountain driving? Also temp plays a big role in this as well.

Just decided to update you guys, thanks for the advice that was given. My sig shows the final pass in 5th gear....
