Nissan Motorsports Flywheel
 

In the Nissan Motorsports catalog (available on Nissan's website) there are two lightweight flywheels available for our car. Does anyone know the difference? I assume one is super light and unfit for street driving while the other is slightly lighter than the stock clunker.

I didn't check out your link but there are many different types of flywheels. Mostly just made out of different materials such as steel and aluminum. Some are dual mass and most aftermarkets are single. I wouldn't say that any type of flywheel is unfit for street driving. the clutch and pressure plate is what you meant. There's many types with different clamping force.

I understand that there are many types of flywheels, just didn't know why of the like 10 parts they have listed for our car why two of them are flywheels. I've driven cars with way light flywheels and they are a PITA in traffic/street driving although that might also be due to the clutch/pressure plate.

For the Z34, on page 29, I only see one flywheel offered (12310-RRZ3C1). The Z33 has three different available flywheels, depending on engine (DE or HR) and type of clutch.
The Z33 (VQ35HR) flywheel is part number: 12310-JK20C. The Z34 flywheel is part number: 12310-EY00A.
The '02-'06 Altima (w/VQ35 and M/T), '00-'08 Maxima (w/VQ35 and M/T), 350Z (M/T), 370Z (M/T), G35 (M/T) and G37 (M/T) all have the same flywheel bolt part number: 12315-8J100. The dimensions of this bolt are: T-55 head (14mm diameter), diameter M10 (M10x1.0), thread 1mm, length (UHL) 24mm.

i would like a little more info on the NISMO flywheel actually. (12310-RRZ3C1)
