Torque Converter Limitations

Seeking help from experts.

(This is a question my installer brought up... Due to the reason I have a 7AT)
I am having trouble finding information about the limitations of the stock torque converter on 7ATs..... I am installing a nitrous kit on my Z, and I just want to know if I have to upgrade to a higher strain capable one. Since the car will eventually get 100 shot of instant boost... (other changes will be done by then, eg: colder plugs and retarding timing...) For right now I am starting off with 50 HP shot... Then work my way up... If you guys could throw me in the right direction, it would be very much appreciated!!

I understand that nitrous can be dangerous if used improperly, but I don't plan on putting more than the engine can handle...

Try and contact a Converter Rebuilding Co. ( Dacco or Recon/Transtar) They may give you info. You need to ask how the coverters are made, Kind of clutch material for Lock-up, If the turbines are spot-welded or Braised and sometimes the alloys used in the metal of assy.
