Akuma Motorsports Rear Diff Cooler
 

We are in the prototype stage of making a rear differential cooler for the 370z which could also be used as a universal setup. We are still waiting for a good track day to test the setup and see how it works!

Kit includes:
-Braided lines
- -8 Swivel an fittings
-Susa pump
-Setrab cooler
-Pull type fan
I'm sure im missing a couple things but again this is only in the prototype stage so the kit could vary depending on how it goes. :hello:

Very interesting. I've seen a setup like this on a 350 before with the horizontal mount with fan. In for results.

Do you think the cooler is big enough or can you uprade to a bigger one if you produce the kit?

What cost are you looking at?

I was just thinking about getting a diff cooler today too. Talk about timing. :tup:

I am working on potential 'upgrades' for the kit. Setrab and I feel that this cooler should be good for the smaller amount of fluid in the rear diff. Th final bracket may allow for a larger cooler. I will get some updates tomorrow with the final kit. We have a track day Sunday so I will be able to get real world feedback as well.

The idea is to keep this affordable $700 -850 total. This will include the pump, cooler, lines, thermostatically controlled switch, Flex Lite lines, fan and brackets. The final bracket will be powder coated black and one piece. No drilling required...fan is a sealed Spal unit....killer fan, details tomorrow.

How will the system be armed? Toggle switch or temp sensor? I personally like a toggle switch after I've brought the temp up in the diff especially cause I run a OS Giken diff with OSG fluid which is thick oil. Most pumps struggle with fluid of this type when cold. With the toggle it keeps the system simple for myself.

Started looking for a diff cooler setup today and this is an interesting approach. I have seen coolers located at the rear license plate, which I think I like for airflow, but then you have lines running into the trunk. With the horizontal setup it will all be up to the air that fan can push through.

I too would prefer a manual switch for the system, but that can be added in line without much difficultly.

The biggest issue for me is getting the fill level correct with lines that want to drain back down to where the fill level is specified from. What is the process to change the fluid for a correct level?
