steering damage?

I was sitting in my parked car for ten minutes with the a/c on. Only after getting out did I notice that I had left the steering wheel at almost full lock while the car was on. I know that when the wheel is at full lock it raises pressures. Could I have caused any damage to the steering system? I am paranoid. I'll never forget when my steering hose burst and sprayed everyone in red in my old alfa 164. thanks

no

even though when the wheel is at full lock the engine bay makes a different noise; like it is being put under stress.

nothing will happen, chill out. shamrock, do not exacerbate the paranoia.

Yes the pump is stressed when at full lock but you didn't do any damage. Pumps are designed to last over 100k miles easily and i know people that lockout their steering all the time yet their car is fine. Don't worry though
