Open Diff VS LSD

I am currently about to press the order button for a new OSG LSD. Wondering the thoughts of others, and if its worth the money. Also comments from those that went from not having one to purchasing one and their thoughts on how it made a difference. Any info would help at the moment, thanks! :tiphat:

For autocross, adding one to my 240sx made a world of difference. And that was even with a crappy OEM viscous LSD.

I have a Quaiffe LSD for sale with a set of new bearings if you are interested and I also have a very low milage VLSD rear diff from an '11 sport 6MT.

I've went from OD to OSG LSD. After one year it's the best mod I've done till this day. Worth it in every way possible. Especially since I track and like to get a little sideways from time to time. It's makes the car much more predictable when laying down power. At the track I can get on the throttle more and sooner when exiting. Not to mention the how the unit locks 50% under hard braking which is amazing how this assist you in the braking zones. The OSG is defiantly designed better and has an edge over other LSD. Does cost more and some other parts are required like a axle stub (about $150) but you will think nothing of when you put that baby to use. Just only use OSG fluid only and never think back.

This is also a good deal from what I've seen.

I have a Quaife in my Z34 ... just like SPOHN says ..... these are the ducks-guts for track-work as you can get on the power early and the car drives (hard) - it just squats and accelerates, instead of lighting up the inside rear wheel and wasting torque.

Osg lsd

Day and night difference. Those who believe their viscous LSD is "good enough" are sadly mistaken.

I will have a review soon! But after what I have seen spohn say about it, I am sure I am going to be grinning ear to ear the first time I spool up coming out of a turn! :driving:

Edit till you brake hard with it and the diff locks. Its sure enough a different feel. But to used in a beneficial way. It caught me off guard.
