Any Oil Differences with 2012?

Hey guys

Still pretty new here, but couldn't find the answer to this. I'll make it quick. I have a 2012 Nismo and I'm looking to switch to Redline 5w30 pretty quick here after the break in and such. I was going to order on amazon a 12 pack, but the compatability tool says this oil doesn't work with my year, but does all other years. Now, I don't think there is any differences in the engine other than the oil cooler. But I wanted to double check that this will still be fine for my Z. Also I've never had a car with an oil cooler, are there any differences in changing the oil? Also, can anyone recommend a good oil filter as well? And I know this is split, but would you recommend this oil?

Thanks guys

Engine is the same so that oil is fine. Never owned a car with a oil cooler before installing one in my Z so cant answear that question but I'm pretty sure you do nothing different. I use Nissan OEM filter. But thats just me.

Thanks sir. That's what I thought but I wanted to double check.

Also, is 5w 30 the right way to go? I see some people go 40.

And one more, does Redline void warranty?

5W30 is what is recommended but if you look in the owners manual you will find info on other oils for very extreme high and low temps. RedLine meets all requirements Nissan calls for for an oil it even has the ester additive that is highly recommended to be used in these engines so no it will not void your warranty. Good choice in oil its what me and a lot of other members have been using for years.
