7AT Manual Mode while in Auto D Mode
Hi, I have a 7AT and was in D mode and started messing around with my paddle shifters and all of a sudden the car went into M manual mode for a few seconds and then went back into D mode.
Has this happened to anyone here with a AT? Is this normal and should it even be possible if you are in D mode or am I missing something? |
Normal -- re-read the owner's manual.

If you are in D and press paddles, it will allow you to change gears in M mode but will switch back into D. Now to stay in complete M mode, obviously you must switch from D and slide into M mode. Also if you press a paddle in D and want it to go back to D, just click and hold the upshift paddle.

Hmm, didn't know this and obviously miss this part in the manual.
