a member recently had a similar issue. the problem was a defective ABS wheel speed sensor

I'm having similar problems that I'm trying to solve. For me, I had a major vacuum leak and that helped a lot. But it still chokes and sputters at times. My car is supercharged though.

I might have the same problem. ANyone know what is the part number for the brake switch?

Reading this about the brake switch really surprises me that Nissan doesn't have a redundant switch in the brake switch to verify the brake switch is truly being depressed. The throttle and fuel cut does make sense and others do that too but being a tech for other car lines in the past they usually have multiple contacts within the switch to self check, one car line even uses a potentiometer and they have always had brake switch issues in the past and still do but at least they have test for it and give a brake switch high voltage code (most common). Without having access to Nissan diagram it's just odd they put so
Much faith in one sensor with no verification, bad Nissan. All well still loving my z. |

Had issues with traction control coming on at random, it was because i had wired a reverse camera to the tail light, once i removed it, it ran fine.
Had an issue with car sputtering and ran like ****, disconnected my amp and car ran fine. |

I wonder if the issue with my Z is the same thing..
For about 10k now I've noticed a lack of power at times, (like many ppl said "the pedal is mashed to the floor and the car has practically no power". Happens during the day after a cold soak, no dtc's, eng oil is full.. and one strange thing is.. usually when it happens I can cycle the ignition and it goes away. I have spoken with dealers from across the country, (that's what I do for work) and I asked all of the service advisers and they all say they haven't heard anything like that on the 370's, just brakes & tires. -Next time it happens I'm gonna stop the car and look at the brake lights.. and maybe buy a scantool and see if the brake signal is on. |
Lethargic
HI,
I have the same issues when it gets hot outside, my 370z turns into a Nissan Sentra.....Bogged down lethargic acceleration and laggy throttle response from idle up to about 3500RPM. Did anyone come up with an ECU fix for this? |
