Outside Temp Gauge Wrong?

The gauge on the left that shows you gas mileage, and how many miles left, as well as outside temperature is having issues on my car. Everything seems to work fine except for the temperature feature.

Today it was telling me it was 85 degrees outside when the actual temp was about 55 degrees.

I recently put an intake and oil cooler on my car could this have affected it?

which side did you install the oil cooler on? if its on passenger side, that might be blocking the temp sensor

The oil cooler is too close to the ambient sensor that located on the middle horizontal bar. Remove it from there, And attach it further away from the oil cooler.

I and others have done this already.

I attached mine with double-sided tape to the metal piece where the tow hook goes.

I installed it on the passenger side. Is it difficult to more the temp sensor?

Yea, kinda since you have to unclip it from the bracket.

I suggest removing the splash pan so you have room.

here is a pic with it attached to the tie hook bar
