mines high flow throttle system
hey guys came across this, seems that it has been out for a long time but haven't seen anyone try them out, they seem interesting from what i have seen and read, the gains are really good when installed on other cars, don't really know how the 370 will respond to it, just wanted to know for these parts does it make a difference if the car is a LHD or RHD ?

all I know is mines is on crack with those kind of prices for parts. hope that is in yen. lol!!
|
Holy *&^% MSRP $1,700
I was just wondering about the throttle body the other day, can't a machine shop do this for much less? |

it cost me 500$ to do both of mine. |
What did the gains look like? Did they do just a traditional port and polish?
|
I'm guessing about 10 whp at best... LH or RH drive shouldn't matter.
The ECU is more intriguing to me -- they claim retuned VVEL. |

So you guys think its a firm no?

post up the results from your cams first because I hope you prove all of us wrong! (I would get them) and give this a shot after!

since I had a problem with a cracked flywheel which caused the knock sensor unhappy (vibrations) we decided to not fully tune with the bored TB to much im positive the gain are there and valid.. but again the bored out TB is not the one from mines company but a company here in Toronto who did the job on my OEM TB in NA form in general it cost about 100$/1whp once the car is fully completed by basic bolt-on.. so if I gained a good 7-9whp for 500 $ & 100$ gas money it showed to be the norm.. anyway all that big talk right now wil re-confirmed in mid-april if the test doesnt show anything good ,, well atleast I would have tried. |
7-9 rwhp for $500 is worth it IMO. Looking forward to dyno results.

I did the test again and the gain are there !
but is it worth to spend all of that $$ for little gain ? for a street car , not really but for the track if you have the budget then do it. http://www.the370z.com/members/megan...ottle-body.jpg and at the same time I confirmed for my own personnal knowledge the HR vs VHR intake manifold http://www.the370z.com/members/megan...e-manifold.jpg |
Awesome results. Any retuning? Or was this just strictly dyno pull comparisons?

maybe 2-3 whp could be gained but im gonna change back to the HR intake manifold. |
Impressive midrange gains with the HR mani.
Do you have dynos of oem tb + vhr mani VS 62.5mm + HR mani? |

but if you take Run File 18 = 323 whp = VHR intake manifold + Oem TB and Run File 9 & 10 = 327/328 whp = HR intake manifold + 62.5mm TB the HR intake manifold is the winner unless you only want the advantage of the VHR at 7000+rpm adding a bored TB you pretty much only gain anything between 5-9whp keep an eye on my future project during summer time ! :) (2x 70mm TB) |
