Is there any test pipe that engine light won't pop up?

Saw couple test pipe with extent bolt hole for o2 sensor. Would that help for engine light won't pop on? Anybody have one or know?

chances of the check engine light coming on with an o2 extender or the pipe are very slim

I'm currently using fast intention test pipe. No cel! U might want to give it a try. Sound was badass.:happydance:

i have the CNT res TP's WITH the O2 bung extender. ive even packed the d@mn thing with steel wool but i STILL HAVE A CEL..... and yes its from the final two o2 sensors. 30% maximum threshold blah blah blah

just throwing that out there.

For anyone who has TP's or HFC's another way to prevent getting a CEL is to get some Medium Coarsness Steel Wool and pack a bit of that in the o2 bung prior to putting in the o2 sensor. This makes sure less gasses get to it to trigger a CEL.

test pipes installed today... no cel.

O2 Bungs cut off and welded shut. My test pipes are from AAM Comp. The left test pipe O2 bung didn't clear the chassis on my 2009. The AAM Comp O2 bungs point up for sum odd reason. :wtf:
I really don't care about the SES light though (codes: P0037 & P0057).

:ugh2:

Probably because they wanted to keep them plug and play, meaning you didn't have to splice any wires to make the o2 sensors still work with their OEM wire length...

Kinda hard for it to be "plug and play" when you can't plug cause it won't clear the chassis. Also, where did you read that I spliced O2 wires?

Not sure where the problem with the install is, do you have some pics? Maybe there's a certain way to align them??

I never said you spliced wires, just that in some instances, people have had to cut/splice wires for where the o2 sensors get placed with HFC/TP setups. I meant nothing personal.

Do you happen to have a pic of this hitting the chassis? Something might be wrong with the pipe possibly?

PM if possible. Thanks

Fitment problem w/AAM Comp left test pipe

Chris W, Adam, and others...

No, I didn't have a camara available when I was doing the install w/the bungs attached. I got a shot yesterday of my left set up w/no bungs.

See the attached jpeg.

A = Where the O2 bung smashed into the chassis underside when trying to attach it to the OEM header. Note the scrape/indentation.

B = Where the O2 bung attached to the test pipe. Pin hole welded shut by local SS welder.

sfearl1 03-20-2012 06:23 PM
