Changing to Red Line synthetic, gonna gain some power!
Drivetrain Modifications #6
^This car has less aggressive gearing than the 370Z, and operates at a lower rpm, meaning less teeth meshing in the transmission and differential. This means I should gain even more power. I am thinking 5rwhp is a realistic expectation. Same amount as drop-ins. Anyone have any info to the contrary? |
This thread has motivated me to build a dyno that offers sufficient R&R to make claims of 2.3 hp gains even close to possible.

Are they red or yellow? I need to know, since we all know that red stickers increase power, while yellow improves handling. |

Me: Sir I would like to make an even trade of my 370Z for that Aventador. Salesman: Umm are you serious? Me: Have you seen how many green stickers I have on my car? Salesman: I will begin preparing your Aventador sir. Congratulations! :bowrofl: :bowrofl: :bowrofl: |

Well, the transmission shifts smoother. Worth it in and of itself.

Didn't they have a study that royal purple increase hp because its so thin.
|
proven fact, can't gain hp off of change in oil brand. Your obd-II system is designed to calibrate between a certain range due to advance timing climate conditions, elevation changes, I can completely agree with red zed!
|
Unless your changing your oil when it starts looking like tar, it will be difficult to see any measurable gain, especially against Nissan's Ester based oil that came with it.
