I'm NA. I have Stillen G3s, Berk HFCs and CBE. With the UpRev tune I'm getting right around 310 to the rear wheels.

OP if you want to wake up the Z while staying N/A get some gears. For what its worth, the Z is surprisingly fast in stock form. I'm waiting for the new Hyndai Genesis fans to argue that with the bump in horsepower its faster. The new Genesis is said to do 0-60 in the low 5 second range.

With the mods in my sig I'm now at 334 at the wheels.

It was a Dynapack dyno at Xact Dyno here in Tempe, AZ. For reference, my buddy from work got his 2010 370Z with Stillen G3s, FI LTH and HKS exhaust tuned there on the same day and got 316 whp.

Also, I had my '09 370Z tuned there last year with Stillen G3s, Berk HFCs and Invidia exhaust which also yielded 316 whp.

not a fan of hub dyno's, doesn't take into account wheel weights.

prepare to spend a ton a $$$ to get big NA power !

My baseline on the same dyno SG used with their 350z was 256whp and I ended up to 324whp (330whp STD), He still have 48whp more than me !

with conventionnal mods CAI/tp/exhaust/pulley , they (370z 6mt) were about 310whp on that same dyno.

what I have more than those others 370z 6MT?

first my 7At which eat some power
2=bigger throttle body
3=bigger maf tube & CAI (custom)
4= step long tube header (PPE)

I had the HR intake manifold , im sure I would have gained a little more whp on the top end (intake runner length) with the OEM VHR intake manifold.

with some more tweaking on the intake part and possibly my exhaust , im positive to find another 5-10whp
but after that it will get expensive
I heard yesterday about a Japan company making an exhaust cam for the VHR !! :)
+ JWT are making an adjustable cam gear that is compatible with the VHR !!

yeah me too ,, if I had some experience in that kind of job ,, I would install them but Im gonna wait like everybody else , for someone to actualy do it.
Im curious if they changed the pistons because of valve clearance

What part of canada are you in. If your in the toronto area bring your car to TAG motor sports and dyno it. Mine with all bolt ons made 304 to 309 sae rwhp on his dynojet. ( 322 std rwhp).
You should bring your car to the drag strip and see what it runs.
You dynoed in 4th gear ?
Mine is also a 7 AT.

Im near of Ottawa (CFB Petawawa).
yeah I asked you previously where you dynoed your Z before but I never received any PM reply about it ..
I would try your place but the weather wont probably be close to what it was when you went there , so a big change could be seen in the power.

the 321whp SAE dynojet at DaSilva was done on the 5th gear. with my 3.9 final drive .
I think you did yours with the 4.xx final gear ?
from the test I did on the dynojet is if the car has a higher gearing ratio it will show less power

on the 4th gear I got about 310 sae whp
on the 5th gear I got 321 sae whp

on the dynapack it was completly the opposite. 4th gear gave me 345 sae whp & 5th gear = 324 sae whp

Easiest mod ever: if you want more power step 1.) Get a baseline dyno on a MUSTANG dyno. Step 2.) get a second number on a DYNO JET or DYNAPACK dyno. \Either choice in the second option will show more power than the first!!11!1!1

But in all seriousness: intake/FULL exhaust/pulley/tune/lightweight flywheel/motordyne plenum (maybe) are about all you gonna get. --330whp. As far as i know, no one has done a built motor and stayed NA (there really is no reason to)

NYBladeZ 02-17-2012 12:16 PM

I'll pass on the pullies
