Dreaded engine won't start

2009. 45000 miles. Temp dropped to maybe 40s last night i think. Maybe 30s. No start this morning. Acc is a go. Then i push start button and get a strange clicking /clanking sound. Researched threads. Checked push to start fuses and they are good. Disconnected battery and reconnected didn't do anything.
Hopefully its the steering wheel lock problem and im covered through Nissan. Still have to proly pay towing, as im not covered under warranty anymore . Will have to take Leave tomorrow, and proly rent a car out of pocket to make it to work this week. SUCKS DONKEY BALLS. SUCKS LIKE THE COLTS! GO BUCS TOMORROW! WOOOOOO

Have you tried getting it jumped started? if it's making clicking noises and wont start the battery maybe low

Nissanboy 10-02-2011 03:37 PM

:iagree: most likely just a weak battery issue

check the fuse kick panel for Ignition start fuse.

Wow who would have thought it!? 370Zs require a functional battery. Please remove this thread moderator. I feel oh so stupid

The "clicking and clanking" sound is simply the battery not having enough energy to throw the solinoid out and turn the starter motor. You learned something new and will remember next time, which is always a good thing.
