Noise when shifting hard

When Accelerating hard and lifting off the clutch fast, i hear what sounds like a metal rod hitting the driver side fire wall instead of the rear tires chirping. This is with traction control on, this has happend a few times and i also have chirped the tires a couple of times with traction control on. Has anyone else experienced this issue? The car has only 4500 miles and no other issues with the car or trans, in fact it shifts just fine, only happens when shifting hard to get the rear tires to chirp. Have never experienced this with any other car i have owned especially a car with this kind of power.

i've chirped the tires goin into 2nd with t/c on. However I have not had the rod noise you are describing, however maybe its the pressure plate being smacked?

I dont think its the pressure plate cause it sounds just like its something hitting the fire wall higher up and close to me.

maybe something in the linkage? man that is mad weird! have you done stop and go testing to see if you can repeat it? If it is as close to the firewall as you describe maybe it is a loose tran mount? Could be the clearance between the bell and the firewall?

No doesnt do it when stopping and going only under hard acceleration and shifting. I guess this a rare issue cause i have not had many responses to this issue.

Take it to the dealership to have it inspected and taken care of under warranty. They'll probably have a much better answer to your issue.
