how much do I lose if I trade in now?
 

hey what's good guys,
I was wondering if I trade in my Z right now to 6SPD, how much would I lose.
I bought my car on May, and it's been like 4 months. (I'm paying for 3 years)
In addition, I'm thinking of swaping my tranny to 6SPD like way later when the cost of transmission gets drop. any suggestions guys?
If I don't lose a lot, I would like to trade in soon or maybe not :driving:

Dudesky, this is a very subjective question because what you'll get as part of the trade-in depends on your mileage, trim (touring, Base??), car condition. You typically lose 6k-8K the minute you drive your car off the lot. Some of the numbers I've seen are around 24K/25K for the trade-in. Besides, with the colder weather approaching, I'm not sure if you get as much as you would if you tried to trade-in earlier into the summer. Good luck.

mine is 2009, it's like almost new. my preowner used it very cleanly except a few scratches exterior. Interior is like complete new and I still smell new :) It is base model and I have about 15,000 miles on it

I just traded in my 09 with 15k, touring + Navi for 27k. Carmax offered 24k.

You would be better waiting and trying to find someone with a 6sp that wants to trade for the auto

Just sell it yourself, then go buy another one. Much easier solution.

i just got a letter from tom peacock last week. apparently they will buy my nismo back for $1000 over kelly blue book... something about it being in high demand. hmmm :P
