removing flex pipes! Help

Hello all,

I have non resonated test pipes and an Invida exhaust. Every exhaust system I have ever had has started out working well, and then after a little while the flex pipes start making more and more noise. It has gotten to the point to where I have switched out 3 Y pipes, and 3 complete exhaust systems.

My new exhaust is a true dual style so would it still really benefit from the flex pipes?

My question is what can I do to fix this?

Can I remove and weld in a pipe or something similar to flex pipe that wont make horrible noise?

Will the welds crack if I have this section replaced?

Are there any other solutions to this?

PLEASE HELP!

I've never had problems from the flex pipe. Some cbe doesn't include the flex pipe, such as fi.

My question is can I get rid of the flex pipes and replace it with a pipe or resonator? Please anyone with experience let me know!!

You can but the point of the flex pipe is to absorb energy transfer from engine movement... if you remove them you are risking adding stress (perhaps minor stress) to the exhaust manifold. You could also crack weak points like welds...

Again this may never happen, the hangers will absorb some of the stress as well but I'd personally keep them until a problem results.
