Clutch Peddle Position Adjustment
 

Still on my first tank of gas but can't get used to the clutch position. I'd like it to engage about an inch lower than it's current position. Anyone mess with this? Pictures?

So I got the clutch helper spring but it was not help... After searching the web for a few hours I ran accross some pics that showed how to do it. Sorry, can't find the link any more... So, after 11k miles, I went under there last night and ajusted my clutch engagement. All I needed to do was loosen the nut (12mm open end wrench) on the clevis and twist the rod with a needle nose plier. Only had a turn or two before it was all the way in. Then retighten the nut. Now it engages about an inch of the floor (vs about 3) Just where I like it, what a difference! Took me about half an hour to figure out the right tools and how to twist my body in the right directions. Would only take about 10 minutes the second time.

a few hours? more like a frikken year!

I will be changing out my entire clutch pedal assembly (housing, arm, pedal..etc), with a new unit (under development still, by a local company).

I test fitted it last week, and it felt MUCH better, and the friction point is adjustable, so you can have it engage wherever you feel comfortable.

I personally would not recommend lowering clutch engagement for these cars. This might prevent the slave cylinder from fully extending and disengaging the clutch, so you might end up with clunky shifting effort.

You'll just have to get used to it and change your style. I dealt with this from an '03 350Z, but realize it's a bit easier to modulate this way especially after dealing with so much issues with engagement.

There's also an RFP clutch assembly that changes the mechanics of clutch pedal engagement.
