well you lose some comfort but gain response and feel, its a trade off that applies to some people but not all... It'd be amazing to have the best of both world haha

To me the trade off was worth it .. Nice response and it takes about 500 miles to fully break in .. Can't wait for the motor mounts ..

How much more vibration enters the cabin? I find that the Z is actually very smooth at idle and low rpm, I'd almost wish there was a bit more engine feel present. Does it really improve engine response as well?

id hope the car would be smooth at idle and low rpm. im talking about anything above 3k rpms

doesnt sound like you even need new engine mounts.

We used the tranny mount on my custom single turbo build. It's a great upgrade, shifts are smooth and tighter. Vibration is minimal, I don't notice at all! I will be posting a write up about the build soon, look for it!

Was it hard to install?

engine and tranny were already out of the car but to answer your question, no, have something to support the tranny and you should be good.

Hmmm, I will definitely be looking into these when I come across some disposable cash haha. How much labor is involved in the installation?

just arrived in store to be shipped internationally... they're good quality and damn sexy haha, if only the engine mounts were actually visible =P

revshift list a urethane 370z mount but so far I can't find anyone who has tried either the revshift parts or these.

Drop-in Engine mounts

1 Attachment(s)
Hi Guys, I had the drop-in engine mounts installed on my SC 370z. Within 10 miles they started self-destructing. By 50 miles they were so bad I had to remove them. See attached picture..

The install was handled by the Nissan Workshop, this was a professional install - they dropped the suspension to install the mounts - 2 hours labour. (and 2 hours again to put back the OEM mounts)

I have contacted Drop-in Engineering for a refund - lets see what happens.
