Yea true... oil temps is one thing. I was hoping to improve cooling of the rest of the components. All I can say is... don't put your finger on the housing of the VVEL actuator motor ;)

So how about vented hood and fenders? Perhaps some sort of plates or panels that channel the air out of the engine bay?

Zat_Zuma, how hard would it have been to space those 1/2" holes equally apart? looks a little tacky if you ask me...

The angle of the picture and crappy flash misrepresents the overall results, plus I do have something else in the works for a better and drier vented fender liner system. :icon17:

ahhh! yeah i figured with all the other great work youve done some nicer holes would have been drilled! :P

So did this actually help? I am considering doing the same.. My recent track day saw oil temps of as much as 295! 260-280 thoughout most of the day.

^ Yikes. Which oil cooler are you running?

zzdudaka 08-18-2011 09:27 AM

GTM SC Stage 1 with 25row setrab. SC adds a lot of heat.. Track temp of about 105.
