what should be my first aftermarket mod?

I purchased a 2011 Touring w/Sport 7AT black on black with Nav Pkg, LED daytime running lamps, NISMO Catback Exhaust System and NISMO Suspension Strut and Spring Kit.

I'd like to know what I should do next to get more HP; from most economical to the more outragous.

Budget is 2,000 to 6,000.

thanks in advance.

go to a structured Driving Event.....It will definitely make you a faster driver.

K&N drop-ins, HFC, tune

TROOPER 06-23-2011 08:34 PM

Drop-ins..?? No way..!!

Little or no gain, when you have a good 2000 - 6000 to spend LOL

Change out your stock cats.

You can buy a SC kit for $6k.

4 things:

- drop 100-200 pounds off the car (go look at weight savings thread)
- get a real rear diff... carbonetics makes me happy
- add some stiff, adjustable sway bars
- buy an extra set of inexpensive wheels and throw some serious tires on (R888s, NT01s) so you can have some real fun

Do these things and you'll stick to the road like you can't believe.

Also agree with the comment on driving school! recommending Bondurant in Phoenix, AZ but for god sakes wait until it cools down a bit!

thanks everyone...
1st thing I will be doing is getting the K&N drop ins.
I want to keep the NISMO cat back since I paid for it.
I like the idea of driving school; great idea.
Are any Air Intake Systems street legal in Pennsylvania?

MnTBlitz 06-25-2011 02:56 PM

If your going to get the K&N Filters you should look into getting the HPS tubes also. Here's the thread about them: http://www.the370z.com/intake-exhaus...installed.html

TROOPER 06-25-2011 03:03 PM

Honestly if you have $6000 to blow, drop-in filters seems such a complete waste.
