2011 370z 250 miles - CEL

driving my car to work today, the service engine soon light came on! Only had the car for a week now, just over 250mi. :confused:

going to check the oil before i leave, but wtf :mad:

oil is fine, made an appointment with the dealer :(

That stinks. Hopefully it's nothing.

Gas cap? Maybe?

Check that your gas cap is tightened down. Sounds like 250 miles would be just after your first fill up after buying the car.

As others have said its probably the gas cap. Tighten it until it clicks about 10 times. Then clear the code and see if it comes back.

but i haven't filled her up yet since the dealer filled up at delivery (had about 75 miles at that point since the dealer let me take it home for an overnight test drive and i live far from the dealer).

i had the same on my 350z. As others said check the gas cap. Dealer said give it about 10 clicks and a couple of days to go away. Sure enough it worked. Never saw it again on that car or my current.

Just had same prob w mine. Had dealer appointment and the light went off 2 mi from the dealership. Some say its picky bout gas. Try runnin the tank dry and refilling.

looks like it's a bad AFR sensor. they had to order the part, so i don't get my z back until tomorrow :(
