Clutch pedal stuck to the floor

Hey guys, So I was driving home from the mall (casual driving) and my clutch pedal gets stuck to the floor. I have no idea what it could be. Managed to get my car to Nissan, but they haven't looked at it yet. Has anyone ran into this problem? Car has abou 17k miles on it. No racing

Air in the hydraulic clutch line or defective CSC. This problem seems to be happening more and more for some reason.

Have you been running the car hard recently?

It's pretty "common". There's a pretty comprehensive thread on here somewhere. I'll do a little searchage and see if I can find it.

I had this happen several times with my 350. Very common though, especially with hard launches. When I changed the clutch line to a stainless steel line and the fluid upgraded it never happened to me again. Not to say this is the 100% cure for this. But this is what most were doing on the other forums.

Did you check the clutch fluid? Probably the slave, but could be something else

thats what Viera did and it hasnt happen to him either. Ive been recommending people give it a shot as its relatively cheap and also otherwise really makes the clutch feel smoother and linear.

The parts are cheap. Bleeding the clutch is about the worst part.

The dealer said it's the clutch master cylinder. Not sure what that does, but it's under warranty.

Probably not, but they will replace that first because it is easier (bent master piston is possible but very rare). Then they will go, oh crap it's the slave. The slave is inside the transmission housing and requires the transmission to be separated from the car, in other words, a PITA.

yeah once they figure out its not the master they will go:

We gonna tear the tranny apart. if its not a warranty issue you pay
then they will definitely say not a warranty issue

one guy had a master fail on here once already so it's possible.

I am on my 4th transmission (including the one that came with the car). I keep having the grinding going in to 6th gear issue. Last time I also had the problem with the clutch just sticking to the floor at random times (putting it in second creeping through the mall parking lot at all of 10 mph). They said the clutch was because of air in the lines. Then replaced my transmission... again... now it doesn't do it anymore.
