Maybe his looking for a spare one to be flashed, and didn't want any downtime?

My plans are to build a normally aspirated 370z engine. I have purchased a second engine and would like another ECU for tuning. (No FI on this project) We are looking to start off with a stock ECU but other models will comply as well.

This is what i found ECU Price: $852.53. Don't know if the NISMO ECU is different or not.

It's the same but has a different base ROM loaded.

I would say start calling your local junk yards and find a wrecked 370Z and get your engine and ECU at the same time.

Or you could talk to Top Gear as I think they recently destroyed the rear end of one of their 370s...

EDIT: Doh, my bad, you already have a motor...

Right now it probably won't come too cheap.

I guarantee a 2009 MY ECU will suit your purposes just fine.

Quick search of car-part.com:

BTW from the information I have gathered I need to get an ECU from a base (and or base/sport model) with a M/T. No A/T or touring models. Any help on part #'s or were I can get one is much appreciated. Thanks

Aren't ECU VIN specific nowadays? You might have to use a Nissan computer to break it too

WarmAndSCSI 09-12-2010 05:00 PM

There are 3 that will probably work on car-part.com ... go look for yourself. IIRC they are all for M/T setups, but the junkyard will be able to confirm when you call.

Yes, the dealership will have to resync the ECU with the immobilizer if it's anything like a 2000+ Mitsubishi.
