It increases throttle response. Just like pushing the 'M' button in a Bimmer.

yep still lovin it!!! always driving with Sport mode, a lil hard on my rear tires but hey its a Z and its built for that.

Car would not start Sprint Booster.
FYI - I tried installing this device in my 2011 Z and could not get the car to start, so I returned it. I don't know if it was defective or what? I did have trouble getting the cable connector to seat properly; it would not snap into place like you would expect, and I did not want to apply too much force because of my fear the CHEAP BRITTLE plastic might crack in the process.
Honestly, my perception of the Booster is that it's very, very, very cheaply made. I was very disappointed. The plastic case they use can't cost more than 10 cents. You would think they could do better for the $300 dollars they charge. |
Nice review!
I want this system! |

This device addresses and improves one of the weakest links in the chain of driver to car to road: the right foot.
If you want no lag, downshift into whatever gear will put you at 5500 RPM in anticipation and then floor it. Use SRM if you need to and try to tell me there's a delay trying to push it through that yellow light. There's only as much lag as time it takes you to downshift. AT folks - maybe this is a good alternative to having to use manual mode all the time. A very experienced driver can essentially do what this device does by varying his driving methods. But the fun factor of a device like this makes is perfect for some people. I would akin it to SRM for someone with limited or no heel-toe ability who wants to track. I would definitely like to test drive a car with SB to see the difference. |
So it does not increase throttle response, just pedal response? Then I guess you could get the same result by driving harder, or fitting a spacer into your pedal.

I may just trial one to know what it's all about. I'll happily post a thorough review. Feel free to Paypal donations if you're interested in supporting the cause :).

Not sure if this matters but I have an auto and it does make a difference, car does respond better and I do notice an increase on fuel consumption, just my two cents =P

With an AT you have to be in manual mode, but you can still alter your driving to do exactly what this device does. As I noted previously, this could be a good solution for those of you with an AT who aren't interested in manual mode when you want to get on it. With SB you can just switch to Sports or Race mode and still keep it automatic. |

^ Same.

I spent 5 minutes reading this thread and bought it. Love it! My previous car was a srt8 with 650 hp. After purchasing a $600 throttle body the car finally had the snappy throttle response where you could modulate the charger kicking in instead of the gas pedal being an off/on button. For the price of this unit this little doo-dad does the same thing. The price for throttle bodies for the z are quite high so the sb cleaned up response nicley for 1/3 the cost of new tb. I am aware it doesnt give you any more performance but its fun to drive now!

Is there still not a cheaper alternative/product that does the same thing. The reviews I have read on other forums all talk about how cheap these things appear to be. My last car was a bimmer and I always enjoyed the sport mode.
