You guys should have bought the Honda CRZ if you wanted to drive like an old man.

Once you get use to it you don't even need to rely on the tach on a normal commute even when you blast the music. Think about manual cars that LACKED a tachometer! Drivers just play by ear. It's a 7,500 RPM rev happy V6 so it should be easy when you're starting to hit the high note :)
