which one is right between two Pureone oil filters?

Hi, guys!

I am so wondering if or not the Pureone oil filter, PL14610 is for the 370z. By many of the forum members, Pureone oil filter serial number has been known as PL14610.

But, in the Amazon, the Pureone oil filter is not PL14610, but PL14612.

So, which one is right for the 370z?

And, will you let me know where to buy the Pureone oil filter with a cheaper price than the Amazon?(Amazon, 2 pack of the Pureone oil filter is $11.17 for PL14612, and $11.53 for PL14610.

The PL14610 is larger and filters more oil. The other one will also fit, it is just smaller.

Here is a link to buy them: Oil Filter by Purolator PureONE - Part PL14610 - Advance Auto Parts

You mean, both oil filters fit for the 370z or not? What does it mean, "The PL14610 is larger and filters more oil." The PL14610 has any problem to fit for the 370z?

Thanks, Guy!

The PL14610 is longer and filters a little more oil but fits the 370Z fine.

Yes, both fit. Just like I said before. choose one or the other. They both fit, no problems. Good luck. Hope it all makes sense now :)

What's the difference in capacity? Stock is 5.1 QTS so how much more oil do you need to add? Purolator Pure One are Great filters. They make the Ford Racing Filters.

The additional oil is probably negligible. I'd go with the larger for the sole reasone that it would likely have a larger filter element, meaning it would theoretically last longer before triggering the bypass function. This may not matter if you replace at short intervals, but would give you piece of mind if you plan on running an extended drain interval.

I'm not sure why, but the OEM filter for the 370z is the absolute smallest filter I've ever seen for an automobile.

FWIW, even the 'small' one claims to hold 13grams of debris. The size difference probably makes no real-world impact.

Same size as my 1200cc motorcycle. :ugh2:

Based on the above, I decided to bypass the oem and went with the pure one 14610. I will be running it with motul and will report the oil analysis at the next oil change.
