Nissan 240 Gold Plated Head/Cams
 

So yeah buddy of mine has a 1992 Nissan 240SX, and taking apart his engine (right now valve cover off) we find that his head is gold plated. Is this something Nissan did to some of their cars for a period, do they still do it, or what the ****?

that's the oil staining the metal.

Thats is correct, seems like this motor was serviced well with proper Oil Changes, the hint is there is little to no oil deposits or sludge.

86K and sat for 4 years after that. repaired the body damage and she still runs like a top :tup:

ka24de are sweet. They are so underrated. The piston's aren't the best, but the rest of the setup (iron block, forged rods and piston oil squirters) is begging for boost.
