Cabin & Clutch Noise
I have two quick questions for ya:
Where are the suspect places for cabin noises? There is one little noise somewhere in my cabin and I can't find it! Do you guys hear a mechanical noise from the back of the car when you press the clutch sometimes in first gear? What is that noise? Is it normal? |
Noise when pressing the clutch is normal.

You might be talking about the throw-out bearing.

this mechanical noise i can hear too on my z wen i shift 1st to 2nd... its weird... iono if its normal, but if u shift at 2500k it wont make that noise. anything over it seems to make the "beep-beep" noise. would be great to hear other ppls response on this

Sorry but I'm losing my patience with the "I hear a noise, what is it?" threads. You guys need to describe the sounds with attributes like character, loudness, timing, etc rather than say "it's mechanical" or a "beep beep".
More importantly, you need to search the forums and you'll get your answers much faster. This clutch noise discussion has been had about a dozen times. http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...t=clutch+noise http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...t=clutch+noise http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...t=clutch+noise http://www.the370z.com/forced-induct...t=clutch+noise http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...t=clutch+noise http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...t=clutch+noise http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...t=clutch+noise Think you see what I mean... |
