Cabin & Clutch Noise

I have two quick questions for ya:

Where are the suspect places for cabin noises? There is one little noise somewhere in my cabin and I can't find it!

Do you guys hear a mechanical noise from the back of the car when you press the clutch sometimes in first gear? What is that noise? Is it normal?

Noise when pressing the clutch is normal.

But where is it coming from? What is hitting what?!

You might be talking about the throw-out bearing.

this mechanical noise i can hear too on my z wen i shift 1st to 2nd... its weird... iono if its normal, but if u shift at 2500k it wont make that noise. anything over it seems to make the "beep-beep" noise. would be great to hear other ppls response on this

Sorry but I'm losing my patience with the "I hear a noise, what is it?" threads. You guys need to describe the sounds with attributes like character, loudness, timing, etc rather than say "it's mechanical" or a "beep beep".

More importantly, you need to search the forums and you'll get your answers much faster. This clutch noise discussion has been had about a dozen times.
