I have an appointment on Wednesday with a Nissan field service engineer. Hopefully he tells me some good news. Double hopefull that my F1 exhaust will cover up the noise. Thanks for the responses guys!

what did the Nissan field service engineer say?

By your description, I don't think we have the same issue. You are saying it happens every 3 econds or so correct? Try and post a video. My sound is more of a ticking sound and it happens throughout the RPM range and gets faster as RPMs increase. I have noticed this only happens when the engine has been run up to operating temps. The sound is also very apparent when I turn the car off and let it start cooling down and turn it on in the middle of the cool down process. The field service engineer said it was running within factory specifications and that nothing could be done about the ticking. Since switching to redline synthetic motor oil, and getting an F1 exhaust, I barely hear it anymore unless I try to listen for it. Redline really helped immediately, but the ticking noise comes and goes at its own discretion. Hope that helps.

ok i did a video with sound using my phone... i can hear it when you listen near the front tire and on top of the engine. i dont know if this is normal or loud enough but check it out and let me know what you think.

its only 38 seconds and its dark in my garage but what i did was put the phone near the front tire then moved the phone to the engine.

Yup same issue I have, and nobody seems to have found a solution to it. Good luck.

There isn't a solution for normal. Both your engines sound fine and perfectly normal. These things are noisy... just have to get used to them.

Sorry for hi-jacking your thread !!

When I go very slowly while in 1st and I depress the clutch to neutral, there would be a big "thud" sound like something is lose. WTF is that ?? is that normal ?? Need help guys, please comment

That's just how these engines sound. Nothing to worry about.

Very normal. There is slack in the drive train, so when you go from a loaded state to an unload state as you describe, you will get that sound as there is a "shock" to the system. It's totally normal.
