Transmissions Different Between Years?

Hey everyone. I've got a 2015 370Z Nismo Tech with the Automatic transmission. My local Nissan service is telling me I need a new transmission. Unfortunately, they said it is on backorder until May 24th!

Doing some research online, I think they're trying to get me part 310CM-X605DRE (or maybe 310CM-14X3ERE). I've seen some cheaper remanufactured automatic transmissions that are in-stock, but they show for later years. For example 310CM-75X5CRE for a 2018 370Z Nismo Tech Automatic.

Are these parts really specific to years like that? Or would that 2018 one work for my 2015? I'm at a loss after getting the call today saying that I'll be without a car for the next 7 weeks while we wait for the backorder, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Edit: Doing more research, it seems like they aren't compatible.

The differences are in the TCM installed within the valve body.

I recommend getting any salvage yard VR30TT transmission, and swapping over a known good TCM of the same part number from your Z. I did my entire swap for $1300 myself. Even if you had to pay a shop, you're coming in WAY lower than putting in another anemic OE Z trans. at the dealer.
