Aluminum Valve Covers???

Does anybody make aluminum Valve covers for the VQ37VHR?
Not really looking for CNCed billet, or fabricated sheet metal covers.
Just some nice die cast alloy covers like I see is available for the vq35de.

Nothing wrong with the plastic ones.

Averying 06-06-2023 07:25 PM

The VQ37 doesn’t have the same valve cover leaking issues like the plastic covers on the VQ35DE motors, so like Spooler said the OEM plastics are fine

Have two motors with leaking driver side covers.
Searched up seals and saw the DE ones.
But if there are no "upgraded" covers available or necessary, I'll just replace the seals.
Thanks for the input guys

IIRC, I saw an individual on one of the FB groups who is producing billet valve covers

Yeah, they are super nice!
But $1700 is a little steep for my street sleeper.
Not to mention the lead time on a hand fabbed part(s) like that.
I was thinking mote like die cast "oem" style covers.

Not to mention they probably want a substantial prepay amount and then ghost.

They're legit but I wouldn't pay $1,750 for a set of valve covers

I don't call having a "website", more like classified listing with 5 products on it legit, but anyone's free to put their money up to find out if they'll deliver orders. There's plenty in the space with many more years of biz that routinely screw over enthusiasts.

I'm very familiar with them and I know guys that do business with them all the time. I wouldn't vouch for them unless I was confident that they're legit.

I did buy the flywheel hold down tool from them through FB Marketplace.
Shipped it to me with a quickness. No issues.

But yeah, I'm not gonna spend that kinda money on valve covers. Unless maybe I had some big ol' cams that needed some crazy clearance

Someone on youtube compared a set of Concept Z's covers to the Mitzone covers and they looked identical.
