Anyone know what this wiring harness is used for?

Was doing an engine detail today and came across this wiring harness (see red arrows in picture by drivers side MAF sensor). It's looped around a couple times and doesn't seem to be connected to anything. Anyone know what it's for? Apologize if this has been discussed before, I searched but couldn't find anything.

Here is a better picture if that helps at all.

Can you follow either end to find out where it goes?

There are lots of misc wiring looms in the engine bay that connect electrical parts like sensors and such. It's possible the clip holding the wiring in place broke or came loose. You might be able to re-secure it or re-route it below the intake piping so it is no longer visible.

I had picked it up and it's not attached to anything. The top arrow in the picture shows a cap like piece where the harness just ends.

Car is stored for winter now. I'll take another pic with it out completely in the spring. I had thought someone would know what this is just from this pic.

My guess is the cord for the block heater...
For Canadian vehicles, it is a dealer installed item.
