fuel pump

if you disconnect the fuel line from the pump hat. and hook a hose to it . will the pump , pump any fuel
i did this and the no fuel came out of hose when i turned it on
the pump does make noise when it hooked up to the car.fuel line.

thanks Z

It should unless the pump to the top hat hose fell off.

The fuel pump is entirely unaware if there is a fuel hose connected or not. To merely give a fuel pump power and ground would turn it on, and any fuel it can reach, will be spit right out... unless the pump is dead.
