ID 1050X injector seating question
Hi forum,
Almost completed the A-A kit on my 350z HR. I pulled out the GTR injectors and proceeded to Install the 1050x's. There is a spacer included. These are not going in as firm as the Denso GTR's. I screwed down the fuel rail, they look in there... But spacer has some (very very little) up and down play. Are these installed correctly? I added them on the fuel rail first, then installed them as an entire assembly. Thanks for the help -NT |
I just installed mine about a month ago.
I personally don’t remember there being any spacers and I also used ID 1050’s. Do you mean the metal spacer looking thing above the port-side o-ring? They have some play, but shouldn’t be a problem once fully seated. Make sure you give the rails a firm push when installing them into the fuel ports.. Also, make sure your bracket clips are installed the right way. I wasn’t paying attention and almost got them all the way in there upside down, which caused them to kind of pop up like that. |
Yes, that metal spacer. I double checked the clips, they are in correctly. I took them out and reinstalled. They went in better the second time (and some good ol' fashion spit for lube... Lol)

Well, if the o-rings are lubed and brackets the right way up.. push that sucker in, bolt it down and send it! Have fun.

How is the process moving?

Update, install went great. Smooth. No issues with seating the injectors. After the A-A upgrade, flywheel+clutch, and 1 size down on the S.C. pulley, trapped 455wHP (350z HR). At the point where my supercharger is probably just blowing heat.
